Hi, does anyone know anywhere we could wildcamp overnight in or near Holmfirth on a Saturday night? Not really anything close by on the POIs , many thanks
If you can make a trip of it , Holmfirth is stunning and the area surrounding we even have a vineyard just don't expect chateuu neuf de pape ..Huddersfield side a few areas to hole up ...crossland moor etc,,I mentioned Blackfoot,,This part of Yorkshire is pretty and stunning but doesn't get the publicity of the dales etc...it is a bit of a hidden jewel ... Marsden , Slaithwaite etc lovely little villages. I sometimes reflect and realise how lucky I am all this on my doorstep. Ok we don't get the weather in fact can be a cruel mistress...but beautiful all the same.Compos café in Holmfirth Fish and chips cup of tea bracing winds , tests the feathers on yer chest as my dad says,A walk down the river you can imagine ( or I can ) fairies at night casting their spells . The Fairy court a serious matter I suggest with the babble of water in the background
Enjoy were we make home

You could stay in the carpark at the back of the coop then there is a path from the carpark to the picture drome, or there is castle hill about 10 minute drive away or you could park outside our house again 10mins away, iwould let you in our field but the ground is a bit soft now.
