Hi All.
Just been out to fire up the heating after a few months of no use and disaster, the boiler cuts out as the fan reaches Mach 1 with heat at the outlets. Tried several resets and no change, I'm getting no warning lights it just stops. I then switch off and let it go through the Purge cycle, switch off the main switch and try again - done this 3 times now without luck. Any ideas please?
Thanks..

.. and yes I have gas and the water has been drained down - but it should still work, and fuses ok.

truma

not sure but try filling system with water and try again

If the fans runs for a few minutes and then cuts out with the green light staying on at the control panel then it could mean the room temp.sensor is faulty.Try setting the temperature dial to no. 9 on the control panel and then start the heating up again. If it does the same again then check the wires are connected at the room temp.sensor.Mine is located above the habitation door, yours may be in a different location.

I'm not familiar with that model, but assume that you've worked through the troubleshooting steps in the manual.

My Truma Combi has an LED that flashes diagnostics codes - not mentioned in the manual.
On another forum, someone with problems with a Truma C 6002 was told:

"If you are having a problem you can determine the nature of that problem from the diagnostic indicator LEDs on the boiler PCB, this is located under a plastic cover mounted on the side of the boiler. In the event of a failure a red LED on that PCB will repeatedly flash a code of dots and dashes. If you make a note of the code and contact Truma they will tell you why the boiler has failed."

I certainly found Truma's service department extremely helpful when I had problems some time ago.

Thanks for all your suggestions and Steve you were the nearest. Unfortunately this model of boiler doesn't have a memory chip so can't retain or report a fault. It turned out to be wires touching behind the room thermostat sending a false signal to the fan that the required temperature had been reached. Several tests later all appears to be well.

I thought it may be that as I had a similar thing with my Truma 6002 and a wire had come off the room thermostat. Thanks for the update,it's always good to know a problem has been sorted out, some members come on here with a problem, get some suggestions and then never update the thread.
