Hi could any one tell me if its ok to use a stronger battery on my van? I have a 1989 Renault Trafic,the battery on it is 55 Ah,i have a brand new 70 ah from a vehicle i'm scrapping.I did hear this could cause damage to the system,any trurh in this??Cheers Dave.

70 AH is only the storage; so as long as it is still 12v you'll be fine. You'll just get bigger storage

Pretty well all vehicle systems are 12v, apart from big trucks which are usually 24v, and some older continental cars which were 6v.
