I need a robust mount to support a Samsung Galaxy tab S2 on my dashboard and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend one. The first one I bought fell off and can't hold the weight of my tab. I am considering this one, but keen to hear any recommendations before I go ahead. Exogear ExoMount Tablet Car Holder - Black

I've got one if you want it. It's a screen mount and brand new, it'll take 4.5" to 11" units. If you are going to Druridge Bay this weekend I can fetch it with me, failing that, pm me.

Thanks. Just been reading the technical blurb and it appears to be better suited to 7 inch tablets and 9 inch at a push. My tablet is 9.7 inches. What size tablet are you using on it?

Am using a full size iPad, yes it wiggles while driving down the road but not lost it yet even round some rather lumpy bits in the alps

I have a Samsung 10.5 Tab S and it sits perfectly on my Joby tripod on the dash. Can be moved to any position on dash. Moves occasionally if road is bouncy but easily moved back into position.

Thank you for your kind offer. I am preferring the dashboard mount kind, mainly because of the cab blinds, but thanks anyway.

I have a Samsung 10 in tablet.

It is great for planning etc.
However Not too good as a navigation device.
1 Actually too big.
2 Navigation apps are a bit limited.
3 a12volt usb adapter does not provide sufficient power to keep it fully charged.

I suggest a cheapish TomTom or Garmin.
I use a Tomtom and find the lane guidance very very handy .
Horses for courses but imo you cannot beat dedicated devices in some situations.
Both the cheaper sat navs and the apps avaiable have the disadvantage of not allowing vehicle dimensions to be used
