Hello,
Does anyone know where we can park our camper van in Clitheroe for one night please?

We have been known to take the short drive to Waddington and sleep on the car park by the Cricket Club.
Nice pubs, might let you kip, if you give them some business.

It's a long time ago now but we stayed near the cattle market !! Very quite and no problems

Thank you pauljenny and old Arthur. That's a great help.

You can park in the large carpark opposite the swimming pool. There is a charge but only during 8:00AM to about 6:30PM, so overnight is free. The co-ords are: 53*52.068, -2*24.882. On Google Maps HERE.

Always been quiet when we've used it and no probs.

Thank you for the information about the car park opposite the swimming pool. Very useful.

Best parking at the back near the fields behind, away from the road, but little traffic on the road and not much in the carpark at night. Just a short stroll into the town centre, if you are interested. The castle was originally owned by Roger de Poitou, and the fief was granted to him by William I (i.e. 'the Conqueror).

Make sure you either leave before 8:00AM when charging starts, or pay in the meter for extra time.

Very useful info, thanks. The main CCC Edisford Bridge campsite has a 2-night minimum at £20 per night.

wild camp around clithereo

Hi Folk after searching this I use your advise and thought i would feed back.

Car park just past Pendle Ski Club from Clithereo heading for sabden.

But would highly recommend chatting with the owner of THE WELLSPRINGS Spanish & Mexican Restaurant. If you save your self cooking and geta treat with a feers he will accommodate.
