Now I like the price of that one, how is it fixed oppy, suction ?? I wonder if it would hold onto the dashboard on my Renault master

Just a heads up. I was told by "Honest John" of the Daily Telegraph that having a sat nav in the wiper sweep is illegal so avoid giving plod an excuse.

It's sucker mounted to the screen of my old Ducato cab with the bottom resting on the top of the dash on the passenger side so senior management can monitor my movements and comment accordingly :idea-007::blah::idea-007::drive:

It amazes me when I see one stuck slap bang in the middle of the screen seriously restricting vision and dangerous too, this could easily hide a motorbike from vision; more awareness should be made of this danger.

One thing i hate is people playing with toys while driving, its a job as some have said for the co pilot, and they should not be mounted within the w/screen area but below the screen at dash level as cars are from new.

Yes I agree and there are so many hinges on this device that you can position it totally out of the way of your driving view it's just brilliant. Highly recommend.

As I said, mine is located on the passenger side. It is fully adjustable and is out of the swept area so does not contravene current UK legislation. The only items that are in my immediate view are the sat nav device and reversing screen but they too are out of the swept area. Mounted in front of the sat nav is a camera, which, although out of my line of sight, is in the swept area, and I have just passed my MoT test with all this junk fitted. I also have a radar detector, but that is secreted elsewhere !!!!!
Swept area is the area swept by the screen wipers.

I've always mounted my Garmin 760 on the drivers door quarter light, (2007 Fiat Ducato) so it is well out of the field of sight. Just have to allow a bit of slack in the cable so that when you open the door it doesn't pull the unit off it's mount. However, I doubt if you would get a tablet to mount in the same space.
