I am at the moment working on the site updates. I would like to know what you would like to see added, removed or changed. This is not question about moderation or members, it is about features.

I am working on the online POI database with POI Map, that will be ready before Christmas.

Any thoughts?

I would like to be able to PRINT the POIs I realise that this would cause security problems but this could be overcome, I am computer literate to a degree but frankly cannot be bothered to get on line etc whilst traveling so a hard printed copy of the POIs would be good??Or the availability of a disc that could be accessed off line.from the shop maybe?

I see what your saying BUT can we trust everyone on here don't want to see on eBay for sale wildcamping locations 😐

Could we have poi ported to linux please as there are a lot of users here and it would save me and others loading v/box,and printable to .
I then could add sites for those folk coming over here,i know there is a irish site but they do not do this and anyway this is the best site, lick lick.

The list of a longitude, latitude and description would not be much good. We currently have 14124 locations in the database. There really is no way to make the POI database useable on paper.

That is on my list of things to do.

use a atlas and then when you decide where you going then add poi to atlas as you go and then if you go somewhere and are stuck in the van due to inclement weather add a few more so just add the ones near where you have decided to go and few spares gradually you will get them in a atlas ok they will go out of date but you will have rough map or just use google maps for the area you are going to and print off that page

Can we have a bigger Top button at the bottom of threads please?

When I get a like, I have to click notifications, then whatever it is that drops down (New likes/thanks) then it goes to my profile with the recent activity tab highlighted and I have to click the likes tab.

It used to go straight there.

otherwise fine lol.

How about cheap sites with some facility's.

I would second that. Whilst we mostly wild camp, I have to admit that occasionally I do enjoy getting the awning and chairs out, relax and read a book (or fall asleep)😄

A bigger 'go to last post' button would be good. Especially when using my tablet.

I personally feel that more information about access to the location, max size of van in location, plus max height, if there is room to turn around, if the site is level, used by doggers or dog walkers, if there is a view or if exposed site. ( Sorry I’m an information junky.)

Didn't we used to have a page two or three of recently viewed threads? I sometimes am following a thread and it falls off the page when it is superceded by new posts, and I can't always remember what the title was so its not so easy to find.

We too would like a disc and also the ability to filter the lists as for us (example) laybys are no good. We have dogs and no way can we use a layby to park up in. We would like to be able to filter out all the urban carparks and the laybys leaving us with a selection of spots that might be useful. No doubt others would like to do the opposite. Just a thought.

Some sites are heavily used by dog walkers, some starting out as early as 6am. We just turn over.

As for camp sites. Well is this not a wild camping site? For info on pay for sites then there are big organisations out there to take your dosh and treat you like lemmings/sardines are there not?

Prune the POI's to get rid of the tiny pull ins that are not separated from the road ....... which I thought were deemed unsuitable as POI's. Some of them are so small that they cannot be considered as a layby.

Examples would help I'm sure :)

So you are looking for dogging sites 😀
