washing machines for motorhomes.

We are at the Lincoln show at the moment and several stalls are offering the twin tub things. Wont be bothering though, bought one for the last boat, and it blew up the first time we used it taking out 1/4 of the marina power with. I quietly dumped it in the recycling area before we did a dawn exit.

Washing machine on campsites in Europe about €4. About the same in a laundromat. Do a big wash every 10 days or so and it's not outrageously expensive. Don't really have room for a washing machine in the van.

It is, all very simple realy.just a bit of hand washing now and then, after all what needs washing ?socks Knickers T shirts , shirt, blouse , jeans now and then, bedding ie Duvet cover and pillow cases {weekly}? a quick spin in the dryer and Bobs your uncle, Why spend hours in a launderette when keeping on top of things is so easy?

been useing the plastic twintubs for a few years . still have a plastic single tub washer i bought in spain years ago . that and a nice old acme wringer worked fine untill the twintub. mind i also have a very old ally posser i use . mainly these days for rinsing water in a big tub chuck in washed clothes use posser then spindry. makes life simply . mind every two or three weeks for me . cant be doing with campsites or spending time in laundrettes . much nicer out in the country side . and catch the sun as well. after all you arent going to do the washing on a rainy day. its just part of living in the camper for 6 months of the year. think they do a grand job and make life easier.
