Just wondering if £220 is a good deal for GO6000 satnav? Most retailers are selling these for £250 and upwards?

£199.00 for a Garmin 760 camper satnav at Aldi, got one a couple of weeks ago. Brilliant up to now, lifetime map updates and you input your vehicle dimensions etc which is a bonus.

The short answer is NO I paid £140 at Halfords and they are not the cheapest. But I had to buy another Garmin shortly after when I found that I could not load the POI, however this seems to be changed now with an upgrade.

I bought one of these when they were first on offer, the weight and size setting have been a load of rubbish so far, I have been testing it out on car outings with it set to motorhome and it has taken me down very narrow country lanes, bridges with weight limits far under my motorhomes weight and once instead of turning left at a main junction, took me across the road and then through very narrow, bendy lanes back onto the main road again.
Quite good otherwise but i would never trust it using the weight and size limits entered

Same here, wouldn't trust it but love the 7" screen and the traffic warnings etc.

I bought the Garmin 760 Camper from Aldi and have not had any of the problems reported by other users. Excellent satnav, and the large screen is a major bonus. Garmins are compatible with the excellent OSM maps; as far as I know tomtom units aren't.

It seems to be the fault of the Mapping Software as different makes do the same thing.

My first ever satnav was a Navman and it seemed to follow your settings better (but not perfectly). My fairly basic Tom Tom One is not very good at all. You only have a choice od 'fastest route' or 'shortest route', neither of which prevent narrow roads.

I recently found the weight/size option on it and set it up for the van. Did it make any difference?

Yes, it got worse. :mad1::lol-049:

We took our new Garmin Camping 760 on its maiden voyage a week ago. 1500Kms through France, never went on a toll road once, and it even warned me that I might be going down an unsuitable road for the vehicle when going into the supermarkets. Brilliant bit of kit, you just need to use it along with common sense.
