I have seen those in the past, a young virile man could show you one but not know how to get the best out of it, don't knock experience

Stove Top Coffee

The Italian/French stove top are great for proper coffee and can be used on gas.

We use one of these as first choice.

"Millicano" instant coffee is 2nd choice.
after that some other instants are OK plus.

There is always Tea Beer Wine

I have one of these a Bellman makes not only espresso but cappuccino as well

was thinking of an Atomic it has far more style but its twice the price and doesn't have a pressure gauge and has less coffee making capacity

Stove top Mokka pot for me. Makes a decent cup of coffee and makes the van smell nice.

:)

First post, so go easy on me, but I use an Aeropress. It makes better coffee than a cafetiere (French Press) and a stovetop, and unlike the Nespresso type things doesn't use any power. Waste is minimal, as you simply discard the used coffee grounds in the recycling along with the little paper filter. Cleans itself. What's not to like? It's also made of plastic and small - pretty much made for motorhomes!

Hi there, I don't drink coffee but my other half does. We have a nespresso machine at home but have the Mokka coffee pots in various sizes - yet to use one in the van as he seems to favour Millicano when we are out and about. Good old PG Tips or Tetley does for me (or a nice glass of red wine).

So - now we have discussed machines..... what brand of the magic brew do others like and enjoy ?

I buy Alcafe French blend - 5 - ... cheap and cheerful and strong as a horse from Aldi for less than £2 a bag

I also buy millicano for a quick instant decent flavour (but only when its on special offer.......)

Lazy Sunday in machine at home costa in tassimo in MH also many cups Yorkshire tea home and MH

Are you looking for a maker of Hot coffee OR..
A hot, coffee maker ?

as long as the maker gets up to make my coffee i dont care :):):) forgot only 21 deg up here and a bit cloudy

Thanks all. I see no-one mentioned any of the 12 volt ones, which confirms what I suspected...

Since I don't have an inverter, I guess it'll be a stove top jobbie of some sort.

Also in addition to the Bellman forgot to mention in the van I also have a 50p jumble sale anodised gold espresso pot and a large 6 cup size filter cone that feeds into an enamelled coffee pot, the manual filter cone seems to have fallen out of fashion as nobody else mentioned them but very convenient in a van as minimal washing up.
