CR Craignish today taken with iPhone so excuse the quality.
Sadly short of water so heading off shortly. Will definitely overnight here on my next visit, who needs to go abroad when you get views and weather like this !

Beautiful mate, heading up to oban on sat morning with hurricane, if your still about give us a shout will be at killin on fri night

Sadly have to head home Friday perhaps we will meet up some other time.

Id definitely take Craignish in preference to anywhere abroad. It is a wonderful spot.

Typical. Had great weather all week and Saturday forecast at Oban is not looking good. Better bring waterproofs or a brolly. We will be at Killin from Thursday afternoon. :dance:

We are hoping to stop in the car park off Lyon/Station Road. The poi with the toilets and water tap. Never stayed there before so looking forward to it. Handy for walking in to a pub for refreshment. Does anyone use the town hall cp? Would you recommend elsewhere?

It has been a few years since I tried round there was put off by the boy racers so we went up the road to Ben lawyers. I know the centre at Ben Lawyers is shut now but dont know about the parking. We have in the past used the cp at Loch Luibhair up the road from Killin but now just generally drive further along to Glen Lochy on the road to Oban.
 
Was there earlier this year and car park at toilets in Killin looked a bit scruffy and run down so went up to the new car park at Ben Lawyers which was excellent. Good views over Loch Tay and lovely walks from the car park.
 
The car park at Strathyre has a barrier to close it off at night because the neds were tenting there after restrictions put in place on the banks of loch Luibnaig.
 
I can agree we got bother there a few years ago with neds in a tent....the car park just up from the inn at kilmahog is ok and a short stroll to the inn for real ale if thats your thing. Personally we like to get away from civilisation.
 
stop off at strathyer

the tea room just as you get to strathyer has spaces for about 5 vans as long as you dont go in the park as there is a gate that gets locked at night
 
Scotland is crap go abroad!!!! ( shush let em disappear across the drink lets keep it special)

On a serious note I loved my time in France, met some fantastic people and language barriers aside some really fond memories. Scotland though stole my heart, beautiful place and people.

I find myself transient again, a little croft, simple life , a spot for the wildies ....Fishing, wood burners, no corporate bollox I lik ethis idea
