Today I had enough being fobbed off and only small repairs done after six months and still no parts ! The guy in the yellow top is the boss a very arrogant man ! He only spoke to me today because of this he has refused previously ! Court it is and another stake out but better prepared :) one member of staff called me a bitch ! I am lol ;)
It's not my bus he is sitting in its the one he is moving so cars could get by me ! I did block the drive again but the business next door has access :)

The staff and a customers did find it all funny and he didn't phone the police ?

Good for you Pen go get um. You could ask Ron's advice re Court we have been to small claims court three times and won each time he might be able to give you pointers - talk to him at Hereford. :wave:

Can you get a local paper involved and give them some bad press or at least threaten them with it. Hope you get it resolved soon.
 
As previous post asked, what exactly is wrong with your motorhome and how long as the saga been going on ?

Give Em Hell !

We have taken a useless dealer to the Small Claims Court . Try not to antagonise the poor working stiffs,It's their bosses who should be given Hell !

I would stay in bed rather than have to go to work and face a succession of miserable pensioners every working day.

Can you forward this post to the head honcho at the dealers .... Or print it off and post it recorded delivery to The MD.
 
It's been a long saga off faults and mistakes ;)
I don't give the staff hell but one has been rude to me so won't deal with him ;) the boss has refused to talk to me ? Until today
Papers next time Annie ;) posters in my widows and mum and sammy will join me :) girl power ! They will chat to the customers that turn up :)

When I had problems with Brownhills we were lucky because my Sister in Laws best friend worked as a researcher for Watchdog, it went from being an argument going nowhere with them saying they had a right to repair our three Month old van and we were saying we rejected it and wanted a full refund to Brownhills and Autosleeper bending over backwards to make us happy with discounts and extras fitted free respectively, you might not have friends like that but you have one more powerful these days, twitter and facebook, tell them if it isn't done to your satisfaction it will be posted on social media's and members of forums you post on will be reposting and it could go viral
 
One thing I learnt a long time ago , you can shout , stress out , argue until you are blue in the face , now instead i threaten them with bad press , don't bother with the in betweens , as said post as much on the internet as you can about their bad aftersales and attitude , go to local papers, hit um where it hurts , good luck , p.s watchdog will make um sh(t themselves .
 
I also have an issue with another dealer who shall remain nameless for the moment. I have had excellent advice through this forum and have taken advice from the Trading Standards who say I have a valid case and they have given me a reference number.

I have followed the advice given, i.e. Sent a recoded delivery letter citing the appropriate Sale of Goods Act, set my expectations and given a timescale, (in my case I have booked and paid for holidays including ferry crossings), so I need a van and soon.

I won't publish details just yet but I certainly will if it comes to that.

Good luck with your claim against Lee & Turner, I will be cheering you on!
 
May be we should have a meet in front of there gates, 30/40 vans in the street that should get the local TV and press there.

Do you know, that's not a bad idea at all! There is strength in numbers and if we were to all support each other in a public display of discontent, then we might actually bring these arrogant dealers down a peg or two!

Hi Penny,

Looking at the French Chausson website, I see that Lee & Turner are appointed main dealers.

Try & get in touch with Mr Chausson or Mr Trigano or whoever & tell them the problems with the van & about the $hits who've been messing you about. It might work.

It's worth a try!, Years ago the starter motor on my mum's Hillman Minx packed up one week out of warranty, the dealers (Ray Powell) refused to do it FOC. My mum wasn't having any of that, She managed to track down Lord Rootes & told him the problem.

That did the trick! problem solved the following week, AND she got a Goody Bag AND a free service voucher.

Go for it Gel!

I've done this. Companies tend to get the jitters when you start bothering their directors at home!

Penny I think as Dave says its worth getting a lot of us up there to block gates and make a noise, flyers etc etc.
What are they going to do phone the police ???
We would of all shouted loud enough by the time that happened and they moved us on.

I really would think about taking it much further though ...this is your home after all. Its cost you a lot of money and I cant believe how appallingly the after care has been to you and the van.

I don't mean this as it sounds and I apologise now if this offends anyone but to me this could be a clear cut case 'she's just a woman' ...Still in this day and age when it comes to anything where its a so called 'mans world' I feel we are sometimes expected to put up and shut up.
Thankfully it doesn't happen often.

I have met Penny and she has a lovely warm funny personality but I think she also has fire in her belly and she can hold her own ..and I think these dealers are going to get what's coming to them.

it is Good Friday today, you have a whole double bank holiday of early season buyers this weekend.
I couldn't think of anything more profitable than parking my motorhome outside suitably signed and with A boards on the roof.
Think of the social opportunities that come with handing out leaflets.
Think of the 10s if not 100s of £1,000.00 that will turn around and not buy. I couldn't think of anything to do that is more profitable.
 
Well perhaps not for the first time, I am missing the point.

Before we start arriving en masse with placards and braziers, What has the dealer, "not done" ?

If trading standards, have been consulted and believe there is a breach, believe me they have more teeth than the folk on this forum put together.

Whilst they may be seen to be doing little about things, often that isnt the case , they are collating and cross referencing other cases to bring irrefutable evidence before a court that there are illegal trading methods.

I do hope the OP has her issues resolved, but if you read the thread and comments a lot of vigilantes that have no idea what the problem even is.
