I own a caravan and usually use proper sites but our cb group has a camping trip coming up next month and I've decided to stay over somewhere wild in the transit or go away on the bike. I looked around Google to get ideas of suitable and legal locations, this is why I've ended up in here.
I'm sure I'll get along fine in here.
I'm 42, married with 3 children and live on the Clyde.

That's all for now, short and sweet.. Just like myself :)

Hi and wellcome.

Great decision you have made joining this forum, you will not regret it.

Happy wildcamping.

Hiya, and welcome, whats a CB group?

Cb radio, remember that from the 80's? Lol. Yep, it's coming back again and we have a popular Facebook group and have regular events. Our Easter event is setting up our stations far and wide, camping and some homebrew are all in order.

Hi and :welcome: to the forum, was big CB fans years ago, wow it brings back memories I'd forgotten about.

Aye, I remember, I even had one or three sets..........CQ CQ DX an all that stuff, blitzing next door telly with radio wave, I got rid when Home Office chappies knocked me door :scared:

Are sets still illegal?

Roger! But the CEPT (euro) band will be legal to use from may I think it is on am & ssb.

Hi and welcome to the forum, have fun 10-4

Welcome to the forum
I had thought about a cb for the motorhome but wondered if anybody still used them
Is it legal to use them whilst driving? Used to have great fun on am way back when!
Keep the shiny side up

Hi from a west coast newbie too :) happy camping.
I can still remember my okd cb handle (name), I used to go to meets in kilgreggan and helensburgh and lots in Ayr but cb's could only pick up peeps if they were nearby.:newhere:

It's legal at the moment still yes, providing you are sensible and your driving is impeccable. Plod use 2way radio whilst driving so they'd need to quit too if a law came into force.
There is still plenty of people on, I'd go for a radio with ssb mode on it, you'll hear much more from all over the world.
