Fell asleep last night with my big fluffy slippers on, got a table next to the sofa with 2 candles, my slipper had started smouldering from the flames, Henry woke me up, he obviously didn't like the smell of my feet, lol, I'm not going to say he saved my life but he saved me from getting burnt for sure, chicken dinner for big H today me thinks
 
good job you had henry just please be more carefull as we do care about what heppens to people
 
Grief, Jen! That's the second fire incident this weekend!

I know we're coming up to Bonfire night, but you lot really don't have to start things off this blinkin' early! :lol-053:

Watch those candles in future, they're hazardous things! ;)
 
Close call Jen, same thing happened here a few years back when Brenda fell asleep on the living room floor with a candle still lit. The cat woke her up by jumping on her chest and hissing loudly, she suddenly realised that her feet were very warm and when she looked down at them the duvet was on fire and the room was full of smoke. Candles are potential killers if we happen to be a bit careless with them so I'm sure that like us you'll have learned a valuable lesson, I also have no doubt that just like our Tinker, your Henry may well have saved your life.
 
Well done Henry!!!!!!!........Pleased your ok Jen, I think a routine safety check of fire extinguishers etc are needed by all of us!!
 
Could have been serious Jen; only a pair of slippers but as we all know, fire can spread very quickly. Give the dog a bone !.

I understand that you ladies like the romantic glow & scent of candles, but please make sure that they are on a non-inflammable surface for when they burn down & may fall over. Tin plates or trays are good as long as they have raised edges cos the pool of molten wax left at the end can ignite from the wick. :idea-007:

Rigg needs to learn from Henry, he doesn't even wake up when his own hair is smouldering because he's lying too close to the Calor gas heater :-(

Dogs - they may not be perfect but their good qualities make all the hard work of training and exercising them so worthwhile in the ways they repay us.
 
In recent years the number of house fire caused by candles has overtaken those caused by chip pans.
 
You always were a fiery lass, Kimbo, but that's going a bit too far! :)

Lol, Rigg barked his head off last night in the van, scared the life out of me, turns out it was just my umbrella blowing over outside in the wind - doh! Over-reaction - like dog, like owner perhaps! :lol-053:
