What's everybody up to

Big difference between a HYMER or a panel van.
Mines an 1870 diesel..Economical to run. Which, What, Whatever.
Hymers are basically a caravan on a merc chassis?
flimsy.Slow.

If you do a lot of touring, as we do..MPG comes into the equation.

I can afford a hymer, dont want one, if you get stuck behind one..tough.

Just my opinion though.

dogseal

Flimsy and slow you should try been in mine :D

Wingnut motorhomes

Petrol,SWB<19 year old, autosleeper, Absolutely love it but I think it'll be going soon to help fund my new Hymer, well pre-owned Hymer or something similar.
Also have a talbot express as a winter project, also autosleeper and a little bit bigger and faster than the Trafic.

May keep the Talbot if my dream fails on the HYMER

Sounds like you've got a dealership going on there, how do you get to spend so much time on here

:) I knew Dogseals post about Hymer,s would get you going Graham:D.

I think like me , he's a little bit envious:eek:.

No, I felt like saying a lot more, but he doesn't know what he is missing:D:D
Lets keep it friendly:cool:

You obviously have been behind the wrong Hymers and most are on a Ducato!
I get 27 mpg and running at 3500kg or over!
Flimsy you say:mad:
You don,t know what you are missing:D
slow no way, mine cruises quite happily at the speed limit if i want to, i choose to cruise at 60. flimsy compared to some they are really well built. merc? hell no mines a ducato too and economy is better than i had expected.

Dogseal, why do you feel the need to slag of Hymers. I find it quite funny ha ha that self build owners seem to have an inferiority complex!:D when it comes to Hymers.
You never hear of Hymer owners slagging off self build vans so why:eek:
I thought that us Wildcampers were one for all and all for one but you have opened up divisions. Us and them or them & us.
I would never dream of belittling another motorhome brand (not intentionally)

Ha Ha Get real.

LOL very good (Wingnut Motorhomes):D ,by the way, Iv'e got me eye on another one in Dundee, gonna have a look at the weekend.

Keep it up Rick:cool: I like your style;)

Hymers

Dogseal would be most welcome if ever at one of our meets to have a nice glass of the red stuff in what he calls a "hymer flimsey caravan":D
I just hope that the seats dont fall apart and the floor give way and then he may change his mind:D:eek::D
And then, if he could keep up with our 2.8td Hymer as we travel home he could have a cup of tea when we stop for a break:D
Hymers are Fantastico:cool::cool:, well that is my story:D

Right then, can you understand that some people have different views & opinions?
You certainly make your opinions known.
What a boring world this would be if we all shared the same opinions.
I'll stand by what I originally posted, I've been stuck behind a few Hymers..
Probably driven by old dinosoars like yourself...Not very Fantastico, as you put it.

I think It's time to put this one to bed, let you both just agree to disagree and call it a day:)

Like, I said, you would be welcome to a drink of the red stuff in my Hymer. :D
It works both ways, I also have been stuck behind self builds, and other makes of coachbuilds but I don,t go on about it and make sarcastic derogative remarks about other peoples pride and joy!
I didn't mind as we are all motorhomers and none of us are any better than the other.
We just do it in a different way!
And I also am entitled to an opinion!:D
Please note, that I am not falling out with you, but you must have expected a little flak after calling Hymers Flimsy, slow caravans:eek: as no motorhomer likes to be called a caravaner.

Thanks to Lenny:cool: but from my side of the debate (and yes it is a debate) there will be no argument

The last word.

I agree with Lenny this one should be put to bed, but it appears neither ***** or Dogseal will let the other have the last word........ so, we all look upon our own vans as the best. I thought that about boats as a boater, my V- dub splitty. Each van is a product whether by your own hand or a conglomerates factory and you can get stuck behind all sorts, but what the heck.......... this is supposed to be a laid back way of leisure pursued by recently enlightened ex- boy racers to 90 year olds refusing to roll over and die. All pursuing there passion, so lets do it in a spirit of camaraderie.

Getting back to the original question...................................Not much at the moment, I had a small operation on my shoulder on Monday, so laying up for the next few weeks unable to drive for around six weeks :(
