So in my engine bay on my 1994 fiat ducato hymer b534 I have my windscreen wiper relay right next to it is a small grey relay .can somebody inform.me as to what this small green. Relay controls as Google just guesses ..thanks in advance .

Could be so many things!
Step hazard, warning lights you name it it could do it, can you describe it and the surrounding area, o better still post a picture,
Is it 4-5 pin and is the wiring standard fiat or possibly Hymer

Unplug it and see what dont work.
I have
The problem.is my wipers were.only working on emergency setting which bypasses the wiper relay
Whoever had the motorhone before bodged the wiring for wipers .the grey relay now has no wires going to it where as before it had a link wire from.wiper relay .as my wipers were not working before apart from.. one setting I wondered if the grey relay controlled intermittent and park.or if it controls something entirely different .I still have my wiper wash and my fridge 12 v off alternator with it disconnected..👍

Nothing runs of the alternator, stuff runs of the starter battery, you could replace the relay as cheap and wire the wipers back through it which is a simple job, hope you get sorted.

I now have two speeds same ( i think one if these should be intermittent. And no park for wipers i also have off and a faster speed .after removing wiring black wiper wiper relay .the grey relay is totally disconnected at the moment .

Everything seems to work at moment inc wiper wash apart from intermittent and wiper park

My iveco has never had park or intermitant on wipers, i changed motor thinking it was the internal contacts but nop, so next step is the control arm if i can find one that works.

Trouble with that is some of wiring fiat and some is by hymer .👍
Many of the members are motorhome owners on a Fiat base vehicle. It was useful to me a few times. And then there is the ability to download an EPER to disc, which is a very comprehensive aid to Fiat owners.

Is there any stubs of wiring that look as though should be connected or is the loom just completely taped as though theres never been wires there, it might be someone has just stored a relay there as a spare for something else, are the wires in relay block cut off or no wires connected to terminals

Have you tried asking on the Fiat forum?

Exactly what I was going to say, Jim. There are some knowledgeable people on there
