Have wild camped with no problems.

There are lots of free aires in Luxemburg, on entering from the south try dudelange.

We always stay in the marina about 1k outside Remich On the Mosel there is a small parking area before you get to the marina that's very popular with motor homers but to be honest the marina is only €11 with hook up & all the rest w/c, showers, shop bar ect, very quiet & very pretty.

Thanks for the replies I mean the country not the city.
We will be in a VW panel van with just a side door sliding window so its not obvious we are a camper van so hopefully not to obvious.
We just need to stay one or two nights on our way to Italy rather than parking in services.
