I am of to Portugal Saturday and just had a phone call from some Spanish friends that are down there now near Tavira and have been told to move onto a camp site or move on. So if any one has any problems that are down there or going down there within the next six weeks give me a call and if you dont mind coming inland then i have just the place for you i cant put the address or ref on here because the owners of the land want some one they know here with you its right by a very big lake and your have no problems staying, when i get to Portugal and get a new sim card i will post the number on here.

Its not far from Castro Verde about 80km inland from Faro i think i never look when i go there I am sure you know were it is if you fish you will but please dont say on here.

Portugal

Hi, There have quite often been problems with parking at Tavira for a couple of years now. What I have done in the past is overnight at the Forto de Rato with no problems whatever.

Just a bit remote out there, used to be fine parking at 4 Aguas, 10 minute walk into Tavira. Up until a few years ago it was no problem to camp adjacent to Pingo Doce, but as has happened to just about all the Algarve wild/free sites, they became too popular and we all know the outcome.

tavira

the new mayor has a relation who just happened to open a camp site and now he wants all motorhomers to use it.

i have been going to the algarve for a number of years and the word is stay away from tavira, the shop keepers are playing hell as no one is doing their shopping in the area, hopefully the trades people will get rid of him and then it should go back to normal.:mad2::mad2::mad2:

worked for silves after the cops kept moving people on,the cafe and shop owners finally got through to the mayoress. in messines just up the road theres an actual invitation to come and park !
