Plus a partridge in a pear tree?Had a masif blowout years back, no fix with foam, i do carry it and also a spare wheel, also have a under floor rack for a second wheel.
in tool kit 4 ft brace t bar socket bottle jack gloves mat axle stand and a wrap of tools along with electrical tape some wire and fuses.
Magnetic torch and floor standing one, ph number of breakdown service.
Zero in 16 campervan years. (I've prob just jinxed myself now).Having just bought a complete spare wheel as my new, like most, van came with the repair kit and pump I wondered what others have experienced. In 13 years I've had three puncture.
Problem with steel wheels they deform big time at speed if you have a blow out, alloys just wear down, same as magnesium, hence race cars use it, expensive though. No spare, and no way I'm farting about at the side of the road, never have alloy wheels, so if I need to, I'll ruin a wheel to get to somewhere safe, and let breakdown find me another.
You can get a 12v to most voltage cigy charger on ebay for a small cost, since a slow charge is ok for your job this is the job.I also carry my Ryobi battery nut runner and tyre inflator when off on trips, along with torch , spare batteries and charger....one day ill fit an inverter so I can recharge the 18 volt ryobi batteries from the 12 volt leisure battery.
Got a double barrel foot pump in car boot.
Preferred course of action is to put enough air in the tyre to get to the nearest tyre fitter. Most of the flats I've had have been slow punctures overnight at home, with the local tyre fitter a mile down the road
Only at the turn of the year - left at home on other occasionsPlus a partridge in a pear tree?

I carry a Sealey WheelEasy, it lifts the wheel into place and holds it until you fit a couple of bolts/nutsHandy to carry a large flat lever, set under the hub and roll wheel over it, then lift lever to align wheel to studs, well thats how i showed it done to the wife, hope she gets it right next time.![]()
