Hi
Has anyone come up with a simple solution for securing one bike in a garage?
Obviously it would need some kind of track to hold the wheels and then a point to secure to on the rear wall!
Any ideas?
Thanks

If a motorbike then we just used ratchet straps to floor anchor points. Pushbikes are real easy, you mainly need a side fixing point at about crossbar height but no tracks needed. It just depends upon your particular set up.

Some people from the Forum where Motorhoming is fun [allegedly] use a Fiamma Bike Rack channel on the garage floor and bungee straps or similar to hold the bikes upright; an alternative would be to buy a size 1 and size 3 bike arm bracket that could be fixed to the back wall of the garage to secure the bikes on the saddle stem and handlebar respectively, as you would on an external rack for 2 bikes

Yes but how could you secure it to the rear wall of the van? 😫
A tube screwed to a wooden spacer, or even a simple circular dowel rod/broom stale, dropped onto 2 wooden spacers on the back wall. Lift the rail out, slide the Fiamma arms onto the wooden rail and tighten them to stop them moving in transit ... Not elegant, but nobody's going to inspect the mechanisms for design elegance ... :ROFLMAO:

I just use two elastic straps to lash each bike to the wall of the van, one each side of the garage.
