So it was that time again for new tyres on the van CONTINENTAL 225 75 R16 118/116R VAN
I called kwikfit £297 per corner!
Finally got them online via just tyres.
They link you to a garage near you.
£175 a tyre, next day fitting.
It pays to shop around

Tyre prices have gone through the roof! FWIW, I got a nasty shock a few weeks ago when I needed new tyres for the car. Three years ago, they were about £80 a corner. Same tyres this time were nearly £130 from the same shop: a more than 60% increase over three years Even after shopping around, I couldn't find anything by a brand I trusted for less than £123 a corner fitted with valves and balancing.

Lucky then i bought 4 new tyres on new rims a few years back for £100 the lot.

My old ones looked nearly as good as new but checking the dates they were 10yrs old.
I’d check the dates in them if they were secondhand to you

They were new taken of a van which was getting alloys and other type of tyres.

The price of brakes, tyres, and steering components I don't tend to quibble over. Might do a cursory check to see if there is a special offer on the same brand, but these components are basically what should save me from looking through the rooflight and seeing grass and mud. My Winter Tyres cost £747 supplied and fitted in Winter 2022 - and more than 26000 miles later, they have 7mm tread on the fronts and 9mm on the rear.
