Sommieres. South France

Many of you may have been and enjoyed going round Sommieres in the past. If you haven't it is a lovely medieval village to go round with a large brocante and market every Saturday morning.
Up until a few years ago MH,s were able to stop on the carparks but then the new mayor put height barriers on all carparks so we couldn't visit the town.
Fortunately, the campsite La Garenel has opened its doors to us Motor Homers earlier than usual . We are there at the moment with a reduced price obviously as not all facilities are open. The main ones water, electric etc are. At the moment we are paying 18 euros a night. You will pay a little extra for dogs.

One of our favourite places and would go out of our way to go stay there and was very sad when the new mayor stopped us.

Stayed on La Garanel a few times but actually prefered the car park, heard a rumour Camping Car Parks were taking over the campsite ?

Got many many many good buys on both the brocante and market and always got poulet et frites from the young couple on the way back to our van.

A bonus for wifey was watching the very nice young man and his lack of attire basting the poulet on the spits

How the hell he stood that heat for so long beats me
