I see that they sell the boxes separately fairly cheaply as well without the fridge unit which might be an option for some;

These boxes do make a lot of sense for DIY jobs.

Add 600mm to the chassis would give more options to whatever you build, not sure what the after cab length is but it aing very big so 3 feet might make all the world for putting LPG & water tanks under the floor.
