Members who have been to France will probably be aware of “France Passion” where you can stay at farms etc free and in return you can buy local produce etc. I have just come across a similar scheme for some of the countries of Scandinavia called “Nortrip”. The books listing the participating members are about £30 each. Motorhome/Camper stops are generally easy to find in Scandinavia but being able to stay at a farm or similar gives you a chance to meet the indigenous peoples. There is a website where you can find more information.
