My name is Rachid, and I’m happy to join this forum. I’m based in Essaouira, Morocco, and I run Palma Quad, a family-owned adventure tour company offering quad bike experiences along beaches, dunes, and local villages.

Hello in Essaouira, I have done three long trips in morrocco and love the country and the people. I was back packing though ( bus and train) and not in a van.
I would reccomend it.

Hi been to marocco once on a day trip from gib, what i saw in the town scared hell out of me, but must say the bus run through the countryside was fantastic, welcome aboard.

Welcome Rachid!! We were in Essaouria in June last year as part of a 3 month trip through Spain. Morocco and Portugal in our little 1973 campervan and we loved your country. We found it much more friendly than Spain and felt safe even in remote towns and villages. We just had a few days there as unbeknownst to us the Gnoaua World Music Festival was going on, which was fun but very busy. It was lovely wandering up the promenade on an evening though watching the street performers and all the families having fun. The oysters up the coast at Qualidia were top notch.
We got as far down as Taghazout and Taroudant before heading back north through the Atlas mountains to Marrakesh, Fes and the blue city of Chefchouan. A brilliant trip and we will be back in a couple of years, probably in the winter months to avoid the heat next time.
