I was looking at them this morning and pondering, the new van is coming with a single 230a Roamer lithium. Would they be compatible.

I don't see why not Chris, but it would be advisable to see what Merl or David say rather than I.

The deal will be over before we get the van and I can see what will fit where. But there will be other deals the new year isn't far away and I might not need an extra battery. I do need a tow bar and air assist though first.

Nothing dangerous will happen if you mix battery brands and personally I'd happily mix lifepo4 batteries from anyone except KS energy, that's because KS have previously built their batteries from multiple cylindrical cells rather than the square prismatic types which are now widespread in virtually all of the big brands and most of the smaller ones too. If you want to be dead picky then chose a battery made with EVE cells because although Roamer have very recently changed to REPT an older Roamer will very likely be built with EVE cells. Fogstar currently use both EVE and REPT cells in their batteries.
