On my 6 metre awning I bought a couple of heavy duty pegs made from 10 mm stainless steel rebar. I bought a 3 mm plastic coated wire used to fix between something secure and a dogs collar. The wire was threaded through the aluminium frame of the awning and pegged at each end of the awning. This was much better than a storm strap or putting skinny metal pegs into the bases of the awning uprights.
Patented screw in pegs? How are they different from the screw in pegs, with a hex top and a drill adapter, that I have been using for over ten years on our stem fair setup? We use them on our 3x3 mtr gazebo to hold the legs and ropes in place.
