I am amazed you don't hole your seat cover If that's all you use to hold the bike down.
For my own peace of mind I need more but it's not as if you're a stranger to carrying a scoot on the back.I did on the last one. When I first got the new rack I over tightened it and it was too far up the seat. Leather got a bit wrinkled and it caused a tear in the seat. Two small tears in the end. I've since moved the clamp a bit further towards the end (Flat bit) of the seat and it shouldn't happen again. You also don't need to ratchet it down as far as I did the first time I did it. There is a ratchet in the front wheel as well so its not going anywhere. The old rack I think was better as it had a wider clamp.
Everyone said that but this is the forth bike that's been carried like that over nearly two decades and about a million miles and it's not fallen off yet.For my own peace of mind I need more but it's not as if you're a stranger to carrying a scoot on the back.
