There have been previous posts about astronomical campsite prices.

We are currently one week into a four week tour of, mainly, Yorkshire. We can go 6 nights before we need to take on water and empty the cassette.

This week's pit-stop is Elland Hall Farm campsite south of Halifax. £15 per night + £5 if you want EHU.

All services, including good hot showers, friendly owners, quiet, plenty of space. So good value.

I occasionally stay at Aires rather than spending £20 odd or more on campsites nowadays because I don’t need all the ‘Attractions’ of a site that obviously attributes to the higher process charged.
The Aires I choose tennd to be £5 per night for what is basically ’A safe off road parking Space’, Most have General & Recycling disposal in with that. Some have water in with that as well. Then I pay ‘Extra’ for Toilet waste disposal at between £3-£5 on top as THATS all I need.
So £8-£10 for a FLEXIBLE 24hr stay is well worth it in my budget.
It’s a shame that ‘Some’ Council toilet disposal facilities are just SO expensive as it doesn’t give the ensentive to do the right thing. Like THIS card payment only one at Grantham on Spey that’s in a Car park at £4 that DOES have General & Recycling bins, But NO Overnight Parking & the Toilets are Pay per Pee at £1 (I think) to use & to use the Elsan is £10 WITHOUT NO WATER SWIL OR FRESH WATER FILL UP.
So £14 for let’s say a 6hr stay & Still NO water or a nights kip.

That is an incredible price for toilet disposal . I'd imagine it's pristine clean . Not many will pay that .
I'm assuming predictive text or has the Spey wandered south ?

Yep, I think it’s a a silly price, if you zoom in on the card tap eye you can see the price.
& Yep, if truth be told it’s probably a Combination of Bad Grammar, Fat Fingers & Predictive text 😊🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s a shame really because the thought was there from the councils perspective, I just ‘Think’ I won’t use it from a customers perspective. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I would imagine so Sharon.

I get it though, some people just don't want to be around Dogs which is fair enough. I'm like that with kids on campsites.

That's the sensible understanding attitude Rob.

Sadly though a lot of dog owners don't see it that way and think EVERYONE should love and accept their pooch.

A guy in Wales took exception with me evicting his dog from our motohome.

He said it wasn't doing any harm and just wanted a look, i will not put my reply to him on here for fear of being barred 🤬🤬:mad:🤬
