The neighbourhood 💩dispenser 🤣

The issue with a wildlife camera is that the perp can easily remove it unless it’s placed in an in accessible place, if you can identify such a place and it covers the area required then that’s a good way forward.

Otherwise a USB powered WiFi hub and a simple 12v spy cam will do the job.

Personally I’d record each event and try to find a pattern, if one is found you may be able to anticipate the next event. You then have 2 choices

1. Go to the Police station and insist on seeing the duty inspector, they are compelled to grant this, but will try to stop you as a complaint at that level has to be investigated so they may well agree to take action instead, personally I’d stick to my guns and insist on seeing the inspector. Make a point of checking your watch and writing down the time and badge number of an officer you talk to as this puts responsibility on that individual. Make sure you use key words like “under personal attack” etc…

And be sure to make it clear that they have a duty of care and your next step will be the press using the info you’ve written down.

2. Deal with the perp yourself, but obviously you have to consider the outcome of this, but personally that’s where I’d be going.

Simple to sort over here. ;)

A person up the road used to walk his dog past my garden and it ritually pood on it! I scooped the poo up and placed it on his front door step! Then rang his door bell and stood back. He came to the door - opened it and stepped on the poo! I then told him his dog left that on my front garden!
I also advised him what would happen to him and his dog if it ever stepped on my front garden again! He moved out several weeks later!

I think had someone come to my station and insisted on seeng the inspector because they were "under personal attack" and then outlined the true facts of the mater the would have received very short concise advice.

Nothing to do with the dog. The owner is the responsible person and should be suitably thumped.

A pal of mine lived near a ginnel/ passage way.
A neighbour used to regularly let his dog perform near his gatepost, on his way back from walkies.
He covered the pile in 100s and 1000s, multi coloured cake decoration and a vigorous shake of Tabasco sauce.

Then Chalked in large letters...
" Police notified "
That worked.

I assume that advise would be in line with doing your duty and assisting that person in reaching a resolve that was acceptable to them, and that you would not be perverting their right to speak to an inspector as outlined in the 2012 amendment to the Police act?

Posting it through the letterbox works wonders.

Or would be better in line with the offence of Wasting Police Time as contained within Section 5(2) of the Criminal Law Act 1967 which states:

The offence is committed when a person causes any wasteful employment of the police by knowingly making to any person a false report, orally or in writing, tending to:

• show that an offence has been committed; or,
give rise to apprehension for the safety of any persons or property; or,
• show that he has information material to any police inquiry.

There was no apprehension for personal safety and no personal attack, indeed to use that phrase would be a lie, the wasteful employment of police could well cover the Inspector having to leave off what might be genuine important matters to deal with some barrack room lawyer who ought to know better.

When I was being shot at in my house in a Leicester Suburb it took the Police a week and a day to respond to my call.
Police are a pointless waste of taxpayer's money . . . . . . .. unless of course you are seen to do 35mph in a 30 zone, then you are in for trouble. . . . that's a lot worse crime than shooting at people.

I thought that a PIR operated by sensing radiant heat; surely it's not going to work through a car windscreen?
Note 3 in the product description on that link says: " Do not fix it at a place where there is obstructing material (e g. glass, dense clothes) which IR cannot get through."
They respond to motion hence used in wild life cameras.
