But yesterday, in Northampton, I was passed by a beautiful motor home based on a CF Bedford, T reg.
Being left hand drive, it was possibly be an Opel.

mine wasPicture 3 has also got a Motorhomer sticker in the bottom right hand corner, so deffo one of ours Peter.
Not everyone in the world has tens of thousands of pounds spare to spend on a motorhome.
Odds on you’re dissing an ex-member’s van, quite possibly someone who is no longer with us, perhaps?
Just sayin’![]()

Maybe owned by a Womble.Picture 3 shows a W in the back window, hence my post
Very true and now we know!!!
I hope it gets a good home and it does seem worth it to me. I would love to know what happened to old Hank the Tank. Well I know who bought it and I know it was finally taxed in September but thats about it. I think the new owner had plans to do all sorts to it and take it up the NC500 but thats all I know. Old vans like this have soul and history. They have lived a life and brought many memories for their owners. They deserve a bit of respect.
We loved our old van Barry and when we got rid of it it owed us nothing.
As you know, I'm a posh bloke so you would expect me to have something a bit more grand, but I didn't mind roughing it a bit - after all we were camping.![]()
Nostalgia is a thing isn’t it.
Like others, I’ve become attached to my van. Demi, is my first camper. Probably will be my last, can’t see me affording another.
I’ve got to be honest. It’s probably the best thing I’ve ever bought. Love that van, I enjoy every trip we ( that’s Demi and me ) do, an every place we travel together. I reckon I spend almost as many days in it, as I do at home. And long may that continue.
Over the years, I’ve spent a fortune on it, nothing is too good for it. Does that make it the mistress I can’t afford?![]()
