Yes we've used a local guy and very happy with his work and ours isn't small.

Looks like he did a cracking job and like you say, that is a big old bus! Where is 'local' btw?

I used one from Darlington a couple of years ago to do the exterior. Took them about three hours. I think it was about £150 but cant remember. Not too bad a job but despite me telling them not to use pressure washers near the seams a few weeks later on a trip I had a leak in the back upper locker where the awning bolts were. Maybe unrelated but never had a problem there in 14 years of ownership.

Ill be leaving my new van until the Spring but ill do it myself or with Mrs D's help. I think ill send her up on the roof. :D

Watch that they don't use too strong a mix of industrial strength detergent in the wash - happen to our van years ago and it took all the colour out of the decals which cost a small foryine to replace.
That won’t bother Ral I saw the great job he did on the decals on his last van

a while back annie got a firm from leicester to do hers looked a great job and they travel
I had mine done by them too. Not cheap but a fantastic finish. They do machine polishing to restore the finish. I think that they may do cleaning much cheaper.

I took mine to the zoo, got the elephant to pop his trunk inside and then i clashed his nut with 2 bricks, all dust and dirt was sucked out within seconds, mind you i had to make a run for it. 😨

I did that once with a camel at a wadi in the desert before traveling through it.
I was asked "does it hurt?".
I replied, "only if you get your thumbs on the inner side of the bricks"!

I have just had the exterior of my van (2018 Renault PVC) valeted here :- https://scruffymuttdetailing.uk

Wow. All the minor scratches, swirl marks and hedgerow scuffs are gone and all the plastic bumpers and side strips are black like new. Even the acrylic windows are shiny again.
The body panels are finished in a 3 year ceramic coat and the plastic in a 2 year ceramic coat. I also asked for all the decals to be removed as they were looking rather shabby. I have ordered some new decals from the converter but only for the bonnet and back door just to identify the make and model.

Chris (at scruffymutt) takes his work very seriously and was most apologetic because he couldn't reach under the solar panel to treat it properly.

They are in Pontyclun, just outside Llantrisant so reachable within the SE Wales area.

How much, I hear you ask? £500, but worth it to me for a thoroughly professional job.

You will have to strip the ceramic coat off before applying the new decals otherwise they won’t stay on
