Every so often, when driving along we get a wafting smell of rotten eggs, the gas is turned off(as you
Should when driving) the motor home is a 93 swift kontiki 6 berth, it smells almost like a cat converter? Any ideas :)

:scared: it's coming from the grey waste tank either sink or shower plug hole it usally happens when you have your window open lots of advice on here about how to stop it

Like Old Arthur say's if your waste tank is full it'll spill over and you'll get it in the cab, it happened to me. Also, a battery boiling up smells like rotting eggs. If the regulator on your alternator is umpty it will boil your battery.

mine was more noticeable when we left home and it was empty :idea-007:

Ours was caused by the shower tray U bend drying out - Try pouring a drop of water down any plugholes you rarely use!

The first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title was the battery being over charged. If you don't find the source of the smell in the living area, have a look at the battery and get the alternater checked for charging voltage.
