13 year old driver

He might have been driving an Irish Land Rover.

Therefore no offence committed.

Someone I used to know learnt to drive that way . Roscommon to Cork on the Sunday back to Roscommon Friday night .
Pretty sure it wasn't legal though
Doubt it was him.... However....
My Father was from Roscomman, my mother was from Cork....
I'm from Croydon, no accent but I do have the passport🤣
I was allowed to steer sitting on his knees while he drove, from about age 7 or 8.
When I was long enough 13-14 ish, full control.

what does 'If you still live here you must expect the police to interfear with you. London copper sacked for interference. December 2024' mean?

Ho sorry it not news worthy as yet! but this DEI is A away to Rob us of our status. Ive Opened a thread

Not really the kids fault. If his parents were daft enough to let him drive on a public road then the buck should stop with them really. If it was some rural backwater in Ireland then its hardly crime of the century though.

I remember my dad teaching me to drive on the inner circuit at Croft as soon as I could reach the pedals. Probably nine or ten. Never on the road though but it was still a public place I guess.
Glad to see one decent reply to this ,

in waterford a 13 year old driver was caught driving a car.
both his parents were passengers in the car at the time.
them parents should get jail.
tony

They quite possibly will get jail and possibly a conviction for 'drunk in charge' if that was the case, and quite rightly so.

1970's mate and I thumbed a lift from Edale to Castleton, got picked up be a kid no older than 13. Car was a moggy minor, kid dressed in a boiler suit and smelled of cow crap. He did the run twice a week and been doing it for two years.
He was a good driver, didn't speed and handled the car like a pro, so we asked him would he pick us after our afternoon session in the pubs. "Nah fellas, I've got gelding to do". We didn't know what that meant at the time!😳

Back in the 70’s it wasn’t the same as it is now anyway though Ral. Most streets you could play spot the car, these days it’s spot a parking spot.

A favourite past time was writing down car reg numbers, got pretty boring on Sundays though. No cars ever passed!
More 1960's but I get what you meant.
To have a tv or a phone, you were la-di-da, to have a car you were a crime boss or royalty!

If you were around Edal and Castleton in the 70’s Ral we could have met back then. I would have been the hippie off his head on something or other. At that time there weren’t any others like me in Buxton lol
There ain't any like you now Neil!!!

Last time you were seen, you were stomping off to Mordor to beat the crap out of Sauron and the Orcs with your staff.

Little known fact: Rob played the chief of the Orcs. He only got the part because no make-up was required.
