Clean Water leak from toilet resevoir C2

Hello all, I filled the fresh water tank ( Thetford C2 ) using a hose pipe and since then I have had clean water leaking into the living area. I have slid the cassete out but cannot see how to get at anything ,for example a hose that has been forced off slightly. I have looked inside to see how the toilet comes apart ,but decided to ask an expert !! before I do anything. I normally top up the water tank using a containor but as I was using the hose to fill the fresh water I decided to fill the toilet at the same time, never again, I think there was too much pressure using the hose pipe. Any thought s would be appreciated. :mad2:

The tank will hold no more than 10 litres so it will stop leaking eventually. My thought is that it might be the bottom end of the flexi filler pipe. If you only get a small amount of water leaking, it will point to that. You should have kept flushing the toilet until the tank was empty, this would have reduced the leakage.

I am afraid that you will have to bite the bullet and start stripping out whatever is needed to get at it. The top end of mine split when I had the Elddis but it was done under warranty. They are usually a pig to get at.

ps, I used to fill mine with a hose but I kinked it to reduce the flow into the tank.

Thanks for your reply, Do you advise I attack it from undeneath (bottom) or the top, although I cannot see how the thing comes to pieces ,I did eventually empty the tank ,but by then the whole carpet had been baptised LOL.

I do not know which van you have and I am only familiar with the layout of the 1 Elddis model, so I am afraid that I cannot help you on this.

You could always get an expert in. You can download a pdf file of mobile caravan engineers from www.mobilecaravanengineers.co.uk.

There should be some near you.

BTW, most of us remove the carpets and store them under the bed at home.

I assume you have seen this exploded diagram of the C2

Cassette C2 Electric Parts

Maybe see Item 24 for a possible culprit

And the Manual with exploded diagrams

Thanks for your reply, I reckon that No.24 looks like it could be the culprit, I already looked at the other link but found it wasnt too helpful. I will check No.24 out today and post the outcome. I need to get it sortes asap as we are off to Scotland soon, thanks again.

Cheers George.

toilet troubles

Hi
I have the same problem with my Swift Sundance . I have tried in vain to fix this. The only compromise I found is to only half fill the fresh water flush tank.

If yoou manage to find a solution I would be very interested !
