I am told that Ford Transits after their dreadful reputation for rusting they are massively better now, even using galvanising in places. Their mechanics and running gear are sound and reliable, as good as or better than any other. Cab spec is good for a van though not luxurious (providing the appropriate trim level is picked by the builder). Ford warranty service and support is diabolical so you are very much in the dealer’s hands when new or nearly new. I have a campervan based on the 2019 Transit Custom and have no complaints.

I understand that Fiat dominated MH builds because historically they did a good deal with MH manufacturers helping the manufacturers’ cash flow.
