Ducato wipers work when the ignition is turned on but not when the engine is running!

Interesting forum post here https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/wiper-stopping-2007-fiat-ducato.496082/ along similar lines.

I'd be inclined to think that if the van's been stood a while,without damp control, it might be something as simple as a dry joint on the body control unit circuit board or corroded connections between it and the nearby fuse box. Look for other anomalies e.g. the problem goes away when you turn the heater fan off or window/headlight issues. Auto spark job if you're not good at this sort of thing.

This is the correct thing to do. Don't let the garage do anything further.

Be aware that your card company may decline to act. Apparently this happens frequently. If so, reapply and you are more likely to get a favourable response.
 
Rodger you sent a privat message to me regarding one of my light harted leg pulls, if you or any here does not know me by now its an Irish thing, many posters on here do a lot of leg pulling, at no time did I or would I set out to offend anyone, I do hope you get the problem sorted, in my workshop the price would have been as stated and I would never give up untill the fault was found, or charge money if not sorted, best regards trev.

Trev has more leg pulls directed at him than anyone else on here (his fault not ours :D:D:D:D) so don't take any offense, he will always give good advice regarding vehicle repairs, but not so much regarding operating systems;)
