Campsite at Lake Constance/Bodensee

We have it in mind to spend a week at Lake Constance in September as part of our trip to Germany. Have any of you folks stayed at a campsite on the lake? If so I'd be grateful to hear from you. I know this is a wildcamping forum but you never know :)

Ideally we would like one which is walkable to a town and near to a ferry port as we would plan a few easy days out.

It's an ACSI site, but we decided to pay a little extra for a lakeside pitch. It turned out to be a bit more than we realised, because they added on fees for the dog and the showers, which would have been included in the ACSI price - but it was still worth it. They also give you tickets for the railway that passes by so you can go to other towns along the lake. It's also right next to a nature reserve, if that's of interest.

A funny story. We were about to have lunch, when Mr 001 said 'there's a duck out there next to that buoy, and it hasn't moved in ages, I'm getting a bit concerned.'

So, we got out the binoculars and sure enough there was a cord round the duck's neck and apparently attached to the buoy. I couldn't leave it like that so I put on my swimsuit, got a pair of scissors and put them on a string round my neck and down the front of my costume. I swam the couple of hundred metres out to the duck, and I have to say, it was being pretty calm. I assumed either it was traumatised, or it had seen all these YouTube videos of animals being rescued by people ... until I got close enough to see it was actually plastic. I mean, who puts a #@*#@#* plastic duck on a lake?

Then it became a 'thing' with other campers swimming out to the duck every day until we left. They might still be doing it for all I know.

Is it walkable to any village/town, supermarkets, restaurants etc?
 
It's walkable to a small town, if I remember correctly there were shops and restaurants.

There's a decent restaurant and bar on the site too, I think they served Thai food as well as more general dishes, and the bar was pleasant to sit outside with a beer.
 
There is a very nice stelplatz on the outskirts of the town adjacent to a nice Italian restaurant. There is also a small deli nearby. You can can walk in to the town but there is a free bus service with runs frequently from the Stelplatz to the lakeside and return.

There is a Stelleplatz at Reichenau, Zum Sandseele 3, 78479 Reichenau , Germany very close by is a campsite, Camping Sandseele, Zum Sandseele 1 78479 Reichenau.
We have stayed at the Stelleplatz a few times, there is hook up available, water, grey water and toilet dump, and waste disposal, it can get very busy but it's a quiet Stelleplatz and a short walk to the lake.
