MICE REPELLENTS.

We haven't had a problem with mice in the van (yet) but we do get Rat's in the greenhouse and they destroy everything.

The little gits tunnel in under the slabs and then up through the membrane/gravel - a problem which has only started last year. So, I will order some of these and see how we get on, I will report back. Thanks.

I have found that if you make a strong mix of Jeyes fluid up, load it into a spray gun and spray the entire area around your van, including the tyres and lower suspension arms and of course various areas under the bonnet.
Doing so breaks their urine trails.
You can also screw down or tape into position under the bonnet some traps with a suitable bate, personally I find peanut butter is the best.

Doubly check all easy access points under the van that these nasty critters can gain access, such as the vent holes underneath the van that should have wire mesh covers, but some are only fine plastic mesh which needs to be replaced with metal mesh.

The bastards can gain access through the narrowest of gaps so you have to be very, very vigilant indeed!!

I always leave a couple on a zip clip under the bonnet just in case But leave a box baited up in the garden which I check occasionally which gets visited at times by rats who clears 4 and just gets started on another 4 then I assume that its worked

Liz thinks we have a squirrel getting into the bottom drawer of our bathroom basin pedestal, something has got in, but no droppings just torn loo rolls.

Mice -------- spring trap baited with smoked bacon Kill Em 👹👹
Rats ---------Rat cage with wheat in a small tin lid inside. When caught Kill Em 👿👿
Don't bugger about for each one you Kill it will probably carrying the next generation GET RID 🤬🤬🤬

Afternoon all.
It seems some mice have moved in over the last couple of weeks, thankfully only under the bonnet sound proofing, however I don't want them to get into the cab and living area. Has anyone used anything that actually seems to work?
Thanks in anticipation
Colin. 🙂
StopMouse Pro - emits very high pitched sound that rodents avoid. Works on plug in to power or battery. Not cheap (£60) but works very well - I keep one plugged in under my Moho when not in use. https://stop-mouse.co.uk

Unfortunately there is zero evidence they actually work, some seem oblivious to them, you can get them for spiders too, they cannot work.

I had mice under the bonnet of my new camper. The ‘new’ smell may have been the attractant! It, or they, caused quite a bit of damage and I was advised to put some moth balls around the engine cavity.
I had no further problems.

You must have some eyesight to find moths balls.
