12v 120AH Expedition Plus Semi Traction Battery

Has anyone any actual experience of the 12v 120AH Expedition Plus Semi Traction batteries ?

I`m thinking of 2 from Alpha but would like some first hand experience first please.

56kg for 2 you would be better off with lithium. You would only need one for the same usable capacity so about 17kg.

Dont do anywhere near the same job, for an extra £20 you could buy lead carbon batteries which will be miles better as they cycle a lot deeper and last much longer.

Have got 2 that I've had for 2.5 years spot on !

My cheap standard truck batteries have now been in service over 9 years, cost me about 40 bucks each trade.

I have used so called semi traction batteries in the past and their life wasn't any better than a so-called leisure batteries.

Sorry I can't help with actual first hand experience of that make Graham, but they do seem a good price for semi-tractions.

I have 2 x Trojan T125 6v (240AH) semi tractions which are 6 years old and I am very impressed with them but being 6v and being installed in series to achieve 12v the AH is still 240. The ones you are looking at would achieve 240AH for a much lower price than the Trojans.

I think they are about 5 years old and have been looked after, I only pulled them out to upgrade to lithium.

My only comment would be the recharge cycles 150 technical spec.

Seems a bit on the low side.
