Any reccomendations for a primer for a PVC roof have touched up some places over the years but nothing seems to stick even after being well sanded

Two pack acid etch may work, does on GRP/alloy, sprayed on very very thin, this is not a high build primer.

Back to the original question, what is the roof made
Its made of metal covered with the original manufactures paint I've tried several different combinations of under & top coats even after sanding well nothing seems to stick for long

Is it Galvanised? If so it may need different preparation/primer.

Trev its only to cover some damaged parts of roof I'd consider painting it all but can't find anything to stick to roof shan't be spraying it there's hardly any roof visible solar panels sat dish mounting and roof lights take up 75%

I believe Fiats are galvanised but I can't see the roof for the paint already on it so nothing I've put on comes into contact with it

Might be worth a read;

Sounds like you may have to go back to bare metal though.

Mines nothing like that just a few scratches which I've painted over but nothing stays there longer than a couple of yrs say 6 or 8 4" squares. I have removed the solar panels after the hail storm and pressure washed the entire roof and thought if I could find something to stick I'd paint it all over before putting the new ones back

Just read the thread on Motorhomer from a couple of years ago. Sounds like no easy solution.

Sorry, I don't know what to suggest. (Well I would say Hammerite but I know how Trev would react!)

Still require an etch before a two pack which can be rolled or brushed.

Clean with panel wipe Any acid based etch primer .lightly coated
