Anyone on here use these? Are they any good? Do you only get what you pay for I/e more expensive better?

Forget it and buy something that will actually do the job....

Like the T maxx type

Not cheap BUT built very solidly and will inflate most tyres easily...
I've had one for years for tyres, on the landrovers.

Mistericeman Thanks for reply I wasn’t really convinced on the drill looking type

I have a Ryobi tyre inflator and it works brilliantly. I was sceptical at first but a friend lent me his and after trying it removed any doubtful thoughts. Maximum pressure is 150 PSI so more than enough capability. When I got mine, topped up all 4 tyres on my car then all 5 (including the spare) on my van effortlessly so 9 tyres on the bounce with no struggles from the inflator at all.

I think they are alright for topping a tyre up but wouldent fancy it to blow a flat tyre on a motorhome up to 65 or 70 psi the thing would burn out or the battery would go flat before it got half way.

So not that great going by your experience?

Well not a Ryobi like Allen has I tried a cheaper one from Aldi and returned it battery went flat after about five minutes use and I charged it overnight.

Does it have to be a rechargeable one? Or would a battery driven compressor like the Ring RAC900 do for you? I can recommend those.

Micky this sounds like a chocolate fire guard.
I tried using my cars tyre inflator to inflate my first Moho tyres.
Well it blew the 12v fuse and overheated the tyre inflator.

I bought one similar to mistericemans, (ring RAC 900) it cost around £80 with a C&MC 20% discount but it does the trick.

Also when using it, it’s best to have the engine running, this helps to prevent overloading the circuit and blowing the fuse. I hope I am not teaching you how to suck eggs, if I am I do apologise micky.

A tyre holding 5 C feet of air will take 5 mins to inflate using a 1cfm compressor, many of these we pumps only give out one fiftieth of a c foot, you do the maths, take a razor out with you cause you will shave maybe twice in the time it gets a wheel pumped up.
Min output i would be looking for is half a cfm which will take 10 mins at least at 80psi to get a tyre up to around almost full pressure.

T-Max, Viair or ARB for me.

My Viair 440 is around 17 years old, getting a bit tired now, doesn't perform as well as used to, but my little tyres are no problem for it, it's designed for way bigger. Will be replaced by one of the above.

If you want the best, theres the ARB TC, but a new Viair 440 is less than half one of those.

Just got one on Amazon £79. Also saw one on eBay £55 but long delivery time.
