Test does not mean ill, why did she go for one if nothing wrong with her?

Asymptomatic spread is what catches most people out, especially now restrictions are much lighter. Lateral flow tests are available to everyone free of charge... just pick up a pack in Boots or libraries and elsewhere. Everyone without symptoms is encouraged to do tests twice a week and before visiting people or socialising. We all know they're not as accurate as the lab tests but they're helping - a lot.

Found out earlier in week that 4 of the staff in local pub were isolating after positive test, yesterday that had gone up to about 10 including punters.
No idea if they are asymptomatic or presymptomatic.

Still, easier to get a seat now and get served immediately.

My daughters partner is out of the country working with a few hundred colleagues. They have all been fully vaccinated yet last week they had Covid tests and over 100 tested positive. No one was ill but it shows that even fully vaccinated people can catch and carry the virus, and, presumably, pass it on to others whether vaccinated or not.
It’s not going away anytime soon

Went to a small festival last weekend, had to do a Covid test beforehand, you send in your own result to get email notification to say if neg/pos, for conscientious folks that’s ok, but must admit I was curious if anyone went and sent in false neg. (not that they checked properly anyway).

Spoke to a girl yesterday who said the test has a cov19 bug in it to kill us as there are to many pensioners to give money to and feed, I tried to keep a straght face as she was going out with a old mate of mine.

i find it hard to get my head round how an infectious bug can have infected 2 out of three living in a house and the third occupant be uninfected? bearing in mind the uninfected one is part of a couple , presumably in close contact with the other infected half.

Similiar thing happened to the Family who own the CS site I’m presently on.
They think a relative brought the virus, the couple live with their son. They both got it and before symptoms showed passed it on to the chaps elderly grandparents.
The 18 year old son who lives in the house with the couple who own the CS site didn’t get the virus confirmed by numerous tests, very strange.
I suppose it’s the same as when Myxomatosis nearly wiped out the wild rabbit population, a few survived / were immune and the population recovered.

They think a relative brought the virus, the couple live with their son. They both got it and before symptoms showed passed it on to the chaps elderly grandparents.
The 18 year old son who lives in the house with the couple who own the CS site didn’t get the virus confirmed by numerous tests, very strange.
I suppose it’s the same as when Myxomatosis nearly wiped out the wild rabbit population, a few survived / were immune and the population recovered.

Dont know whether to laugh or cry at that Trev It’s definitely sad that so many people don’t believe a word the expert medics and scientists say yet they’ll swear by what their mate down the pub or the woman in the corner shop said
