Just visited the west of Dartmoor this weekend. Very disappointed to see no overnight stays on any area within the National Park limits. I had a couple of what I thought were secret sites, but they also are no go.
Must thank the morons that raved and trashed the area last year.

The point I was raising was the amount of anti Motorhome signs that were on every cattle grid entrance.

There is a local, I see him around Princetown occasionally, he rides a unicycle. It’s very strange watching him struggling up the hills, of which there are plenty around there. Judging by the width of the tyre it’s clearly an off-road unicycle too.

Seriously?! :unsure::)

PS. I am a sucker for falling foul of wind up merchants, btw :ROFLMAO::cool:

Offroad unicycles are available . Anyone for annoying the Dartmoor county council ????

It is the same in Northumberland signs on lots of roads going into National park saying no overnighting.

If vans were inconspicuous colours ( Green :giggle: ) and "out of the way", is it possible to "overnight" in national parks ?

........and back it up with Rangers around Kielder Water :(

The sign was on a hut at the bottom of the carpark, not trying to pull a fast one, it actually was 🤷‍♂️

But he cannot have a mate with him as it would no longer be a uni cycle. 🤔
