Last week on a weekday, stopped the night in the layby overlooking Criccieth on the Lleyn. (Beautiful view)
5.30am to 7.30am constant beeeeeep beeeeeeep beeeeeep from passing cars, presumably on the way to work.

You know what. I laughed as I thought, hope you have a sh*te day at work, I'm enjoying my retirement doing what I love

Small minded folks

BUT pretty much what I would expect from a highly visible park up overlooking a popular honeypot

Par for the course in Wales, at least you didn't get eggs thrown onto your windscreen which happened to us a couple of years ago.

Eggs, luxury.I use to dream of eggs been thrown at me,two years ago I woke to the beep beep at Ullswater to find a well aimed dollop of cow pat splurged over the fridge vent,I think the idea was to gas me,I can still chuckle when I think about it because I was the victim of a drive by Shiting.

A4095 South of Pen -y-Fan.
Small layby.
Yes we had several "beep beeps"!
No doubt friendly locals thinking our alarm clock had failed ?

We too, have had this happen, many times, over the years. The first time, was also in Wales, but South Wales, on that occasion, round about 1982, I think.
It seems that some people want to spoil it for others, just for the hell of it!
We've also experienced it in N. Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland, England, of course, and on a vey busy official French Aire de service, in Brittany.
Can't recall being disturbed, in this way, in any other European countries, except perhaps Italy, if I recall correctly.
I'm afraid that it's part of the camping life, and, I agree, that, unfortunately, it seems to get worse.
