Has anyone installed solar panels without the stand off brackets. I have seen somewhere where they stuck it direct to the roof with a cut out for the cables. Having already got one on brackets & seeing how grotty it gets underneath would elevate this.

The air gap does help keep panels cooler and as hot panels start to lose efficiency its worth bearing that in mind

Thanks good reason better stick them on. Hot, sun in the UK
Crossed wires I think, I was giving a reason not to stick them. Ease of replacing due to fault or upgrade and keeping them cooler are enough reasons (for me) to have them mounted on brackets.

Definitely stood off......

My panel is a bifacial one though so I'm biased ;-)
Ahhhh,
I’ve heard a little about the new niche recently specifically made in the market for accommodating these new dangled LGBT Panels (Light Gathering Bifacial Technology) 🤐....

Or am I confusing things 🤔
