I am deaf have been for 40 years but still manage to motor home, wild camp and enjoy
my hobby of doing so.
I have not got a clue about how to use this site but I have been a member of Wild Camping for several years and have recently
taken up full membership in the hope that I can meet, greet and become friends with other Motor homers who may
have the same affliction of deafness or patience to chatting with me.
look forward to hearing from you whoever, where ever you may be.
Regards FLUKE from Redditch

Welcome Fluke,

Any questions about how to use the forum please do not hesitate to ask, there are many members that will assist you in anyway they can (y)

Hello Fluke.

As GinaRon says above ... roll on being able to meet up again without too many restrictions (y) ;)

I live with someone who is partially deaf in both ears, has been since he was 18 months old (measles) and now nearly 60 years of age.
Think there's more than one person on the forum who is deaf or hard of hearing.

Welcome aboard. You'll be glad you spoke up and became a full member, lots of good people and plenty of help if required, just ask.

Hi welcome, at a recent meet with this group at Strawberry field there were 2 young ladies and both were signing to each other, we never got to meet them but sure someone here will know them, I too wear hearing aids so can understand your predicament, hope to meet you sometime, stay safe Malc.

Welcome, I also wear two hearing aids because I am deaf in one ear and not much better in the other, one day in the future when my Wife stops talking I will try them with batteries.
I have struggled with my right ear since perforating my eardrum at 19yrs old, I worked in a noisy factory so suffered from tinnitus since the early 70's but after bursting my left eardrum nearly 5yrs ago the audiology department fixed me up with the hearing aids, now I can hear better with my right ear but the big bonus is no tinnitus.
You will be made very welcome at the meets as soon as we can enjoy them in full again
