Wild Camping!

Next week we’re planning on going down to the North East side of Scotland wild camping.

Given recent discussions I thought I would just ask if wild camping was something worth mention or discussing here

Actually, in all seriousness, we used to have a thread on where you are today (or something along those lines). It died this year for obvious reasons but wonder if it would be worth resurrecting now. I know there’s less travelling now but there must be at least one person somewhere interesting each day.

linkshouse I asked that a while ago to someone and they came back saying their not putting it on here for everyone to see where they were, otherwise the places would be full

Ha ha, I can see their point. I suppose one could always just post a photo and let people guess where you are. Or would that just be cruel!

Makes no difference one way or the other, the mere posting of some of these photos is already cruel!!

Maybe, but then it is also nice to see. I will never get to Norway due, to Marlene's ill health, but really enjoyed following the thread.

Closer to home, even if one can't get out it is still nice to see others getting out and about (responsibly of course) and their photos , even if it does make one a little jealous.

You can always post general area rather than exact location. It was the wild camp a month challenge you meant I think, used to enjoy participating in that but it’s almost like living in a static van so far this year (well since February). Once new base is sorted I will be off again though no matter what

hi. get your timing right and the sea might part and you will be able to walk across and get some fish and chips at rick stiens place.
it does happen there.
if not catch the ferry.

I had Rick Steins fish and chips once not worth the money.

if you carry on down the coast you will find a famous farm.
well old macdonalds farm . hee hee.
not sure if thats where macdonalds actually get their food. there is a campsite there as well.
we drive by regularly but dont use campsites . nice drive from padstow to newquay though.
worth looking at all the little bays along the way.
good surfing places .
