Hi ......anyone stayed at Hawes farmers market. £10 a night. Motorhome parking up to 20 mohos. Car park separate. His and her toilet. Water tap. Chemical cassette emptying ( in toilets) under a mile to town centre. Honesty box saw this on internet. Had a quick look see. Seems ok. Brian

Stayed last year for two nights and on the second day we had the pleasure of witnessing the Live animal Auction.Me being me decided to go inside to have a nose and I actually somehow went through the wrong door and ending up in the Auction ring with just a small fence between me and the Bullocks. (not b""locks"LOL)
Great place to stay and easy walk into town and staff very friendly. We paid in the office.

Shhhh! Don't start that!!!!!

Sounds like a decent stopover :)

I also spotted that bit Steve but thought best not to bring it up(or put it down) but too late :giggle:

btw plenty of room for your truck as well.

If you want a quieter and more scenic stopover try Semerwater just over the hill from Hawes. http://thecampervana.com/awesome-lakeside-camping-spot-for-a-camper-van-in-the-yorkshire-dales/
The farmer charges £10 a night now, not £5 as in the link.
I used to stay every 4 weeks for nearly 3 years as I did the auction in Hawes and got to know Carl the farmer pretty well, I used to give him any old tools or clocks as payment.
One of my abiding memories was sat on the step of the MH, which was facing the water, eating a breakfast bacon sandwich, I noticed a ripple in the water get closer and bigger. My first thought was, it's a pike but then it got too big, next minute a very buxom lady in a wet suit stood up and walked out of the water. It was like Raquel Welch in 1,000,0000 BC. She was a wild swimmer and I was very grateful for such a wonderful start to the day!

In Geraldine the camper it would take two days to get there! Any good stops on the way?

I bet you had to pad it out to stop the kitchen roll from falling off:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Here you go Ral, handheld as well

Tezza great idea both will expand together as Ral watches the Buxom Babe approach him, locking the Kitchen roll tight so sorted. One small problem though its a bugger to get off. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
I bow to your experience Micky, never actually tried it myself :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Again called in at hawes farmers market. Short stay. Honesty box. Paid. Topped up water. Got cassette Went to the public toilets. Door closed. Asked man standing by office door. Re emptying. He said behind the toilet is a 4 inch standpipe. You can use that. But if you wait 2/3 minutes the cleaner will have finished And you can use the toilet We prefer people to use the toilets As the bowl is much bigger. The standpipe started to get a bit messy. So again used public toilets.
