Older model, C2.
Lifted toilet roll holder insert to look for pump. Is there meant to be loads of pink fluid in this area? Like it is the reservoir. Surely not?

Not sure if this will help but just google C2 images

Hi,
Yes, you are correct. It is the reservoir for the flushing liquid.
The pump is there too.

Thanks
I probably used too much pink, algae made pump go bad.
Will drain and see if pump can come out.

when you look in the hole you should see the pump, it is held in place by a plastic bracket and a single pozidrive screw, be very careful when disconnecting the pipe as they can become brittle .

8 years ago I replaced my c2 pump with a pattern part off Ebay,l wedged it in place with foam as it was loose as the old one was loose anyway, l used heat shrink on the electrical connections. Still going good at a fraction of the cost of the thetford part.

My pump stuck to,easy to get out and got it going again, why everything these days has to be electric baffles me,electric hair trimmers, shavers, tooth brush, next we will have electric socks, what would be wrong with a simple push down plunger pump.

Your right there trev, electric folding mirrors, automatic opening boots are completely nonsense but gadgets are now what sells cars so it's more the merrier for the manufacturers ,l do agree with electric sockets though

I ment the ones you wear never mind electric underpants, wallace and grommet spring to mind with the trousers.:lol-053:

Pah!

Not as easy as replacing the pump motor. Took it out and it bench tests fine.
Must be electrical connection at push switch side. Fuse looks intact.
Initial symptoms were intermittent flush anyway.

Hard to reach electric bits from outside van as they are deep and up.

Not keen on pulling the whole unit out. I can live without a flushing loo.

Solution

I will wire a waterproof horn type button to the working pump.
Will post a pic if it works.

Getting excited. New switch and pump arriving tomorrow.
It is the little things in life that makes us happy.

Fixed

Toilet looks like a red light area at night now.
